SUMSQ Function Explained

The SUMSQ Function in Microsoft Excel returns the sum of the squares of a series of numbers and/or cells. It takes up to 255 arguments, which can be numbers, cell references, ranges, arrays, or a combination of these. It is useful for calculating the sum of squares for statistical analysis.

SUMSQ Function Syntax

SUMSQ(number1, [number2], ...)

  • number1: The first number or range of numbers to add.
  • number2: (optional) Additional numbers or ranges of numbers to add.
