MONTH Function Explained
The MONTH() function in Microsoft Excel returns the month of a given date as a number from 1 (January) to 12 (December). It takes a single argument, which is a date in the form of a serial number, date-time code, or text string.
MONTH Function Syntax
MONTH(serial_number)
- serial_number: A number representing a particular date. The number must be between 1 (January 1, 1900) and 2958465 (December 31, 9999).
