KURT Function Explained

The KURT() function in Microsoft Excel calculates the kurtosis of a data set, which is a measure of the “tailedness” of the data distribution. It is calculated as the fourth standardized moment, and is a measure of the combined weight of the tails relative to the rest of the distribution.
