EDATE Function Explained

The EDATE Function in Microsoft Excel returns a date that is a specified number of months before or after a given date. It takes two arguments: a start date and the number of months to add or subtract. The result is a date in the same format as the start date.

EDATE Function Syntax

EDATE(start_date, months)

  • start_date: The start date from which the number of months is added.
  • months: The number of months to be added to the start date.
