AVEDEV Function Explained

The AVEDEV Function in Microsoft Excel calculates the average of the absolute deviations of data points from their mean. It takes a single argument, which is a range of cells containing numeric values, and returns the average of the absolute deviations of the values from their mean.

AVEDEV Function Syntax

AVEDEV(number1, [number2], ...)

  • number1: The first number or range of numbers for which you want to calculate the average of the absolute deviations.
