The TRIMMEAN
Function in Microsoft Excel calculates the mean of a dataset after a certain percentage of the data points at the low and high ends of the dataset have been removed. It takes three arguments: array
, percent
, and significance
. The array
argument is the range of cells containing the data points, the percent
argument is the percentage of data points to be excluded from the calculation, and the significance
argument is an optional argument that specifies the number of significant digits to which the result should be rounded.
TRIMMEAN Function Syntax
TRIMMEAN(array, percent)
- array: The range of cells or array of values to consider.
- percent: The fractional number of data points to exclude from the mean. Must be between 0 and 1.
