DEVSQ Function Explained
The DEVSQ
function in Microsoft Excel calculates the sum of squares of deviations of data points from their sample mean. It takes a single argument, which is a range of cells containing numerical data. The result of the function is the sum of squares of the differences between each data point and the sample mean.
DEVSQ Function Syntax
DEVSQ(number1,[number2],...)
- number1: The first number, cell reference, or range for which you want to calculate the sum of squares.
- number2: (optional) Additional numbers, cell references, or ranges for which you want to calculate the sum of squares.
